Amazing how a tree grows. More in awe because this one was started with just a stick- a few years ago- now it seems. Did some trimming this morning. Some branches are touching the ground. I cannot imagine how wide it will extend, but already it is providing a nice capony and shade. This one is special.
Nice weather. A bit cooler this morning, in the 60s. Hollyhocks and what we call" Turtle Rock" in the background. The very first currants ( groseilles) and gooseberries( groseilles a maquereaux) planted by Oliver. They are good!

Monsoon clouds . Yesterday was very hot: 95 and 115 in Phoenix. A rescued plant on my way to Jerome a couple of years ago. This year, it shot up this huge flower, taller than me.
